AYURVEDIC REMEDIES: Cough, congestion and sore throat
Whip up this quick & delicious Ayurvedic remedy. Combine the healing properties of raw honey, turmeric, black pepper and cinnamon to boost your immune system and soothe a scratchy throat.
Honey is one of the most important medicines used in Ayurveda. It is also considered an excellent transporter, meaning that it can reach the deepest tissues. Therefore, using honey can increase the effectiveness of the other health-promoting ingredients in this recipe.
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1–2 tablespoons raw honey
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Eat a teaspoonful twice a day or as needed.
